How uploads work
You can upload your trades to Option Tracker using a CSV. We have a very sophisticated 'engine' that parses all types of files from brokerages and pulls out all the useful information.
First we 'normalize' your data to ensure it all meets a certain format that Option Tracker understands.
We then check to see if a trade is an open or a close, we then cross check these against each other to understand if these trades have an effect on themselves (such as closing an earlier trade).
Once we've completed this process, we then check to ensure that if we create these trades they are not duplicating any existing uploads. If the trade passes this stage we then look at your existing open trades and see if there is anything we need to modify.
This means that you can upload your trades from days 1, 2 and 3. You can then upload trades on day 4 and see the changes.
