How to handle assignment
This article explains how to handle assignment in Option Tracker.
We start off with a PUT that I sold on AAPL at $100 strike. I've received early assignment and my broker has made me buy 100 shares of AAPL.
In Option Tracker follow these steps:
Click on the red 'close trade' button or right click the trade and click 'close trade'
Next, enter the date you were assigned, if you leave it blank it will use today's date. You can either toggle 'Assigned' to yes and enter the commission or you can click the button that says 'Quick: Assigned'
Option Tracker will close the option for 0 value (i.e. 100% profit) and create a stock position the same way your broker will
